The Oxford Hungarian Society (OHS) exists for all those interested in matters Hungarian. The society was originally established in 1987 by visiting Soros scholars, with the support of Robert and Kati Evans. OHS offers a forum for Hungarian students at Oxford, and attracts a diverse audience both from the university and from the community at large. It holds regular speaker meetings, in English, on a wide range of cultural and scientific subjects. It also arranges
less formal events, including film screenings, excursions, concerts, and dinners. While officially a University of Oxford society, membership is open to all.
